Cure
Conference for Family Medicine Residents
A Series of Case Presentations, Lectures and Discussions to Improve
Family Medicine Practice Within Complex Systems of Care
CURE stands for
Coordinated / Core Units in Residency Education. It is a series
of case conferences and lectures for family medicine residents by
family medicine physicians and faculty. CURE Conferences resulted
from the departments need to strengthen core competencies required
by the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
Participants in CURE Conferences will gain skills in professionalism,
demonstrate competence in evidence-based approaches to patient care,
and acquire skills to work within and transform health care systems.
The CURE Conference
Series is required for our Family Medicine residents. It is held
at the Curative Building in the Family and Community Medicine classroom.
All family medicine faculty members and professional staff are invited
to attend and participate.
The schedule
for CURE conferences is shown in the table below. Special materials
are also available for these dates and topics. See the dates and
list of materials below the table. Always call to get last minute
updates if needed. Heather Lotz (414-456-4622) and Jeff Morzinski
PhD (414-456-4985) coordinate the CURE series. You can e-mail Heather
