Family Medicine Program

Columbia St. Mary's is a pioneer in track-based curriculum that further enriches your Residency training.

Maternity Care track participants can expect over 150 deliveries and additional hands-on training in low- and high-risk obstetric care. This track models the ideal working relationship between family physicians and obstetricians, and increases the number of well-trained doctors able to provide obstetric, newborn and postpartum care.

Our International/Community Medicine track combines population health with community-oriented primary care. Residents learn to solve population-specific health problems by serving in community clinics around the world or in our immediate neighborhood.

The Behavioral Medicine track allows residents to gain deeper understanding of various psycho-social challenges that people face. Residents develop advanced skills to identify and manage these issues in a manner that will allow you to fully know and understand your patients and their families.
