The
Racine Family Medicine Center, established in 1981, formerly the St. Catherine¹s
Family Practice Residency, is a 6-6-6 program with a strong emphasis on
hands-on practical training, and a major goal of preparing physicians
to practice in smaller communities. There are no competing residencies
in a three county area. The clinic population is diverse, covering the
entire spectrum of age and socioeconomic strata. The Family Medicine Center
is located at All Saints Healthcare - St. Luke's Campus , offering a realistic
office environment, complete with lab and a dedicated staff. All Saints
Healthcare - St. Mary's Campus, our main teaching hospital, is a full-service,
350-bed community hospital. As a major teaching facility, it provides
an excellent training environment, early and on-going experience in the
intensive care unit, and opportunities for numerous procedures. In addition,
particular strengths include on-going quality experiences in student health,
obstetrics, occupational medicine, correctional medicine, geriatrics,
and domestic violence. Racine is located 27 miles from Milwaukee and 66
miles from Chicago.
