Meaghan Doherty , MD
American University of the Caribbean
Dr. Meaghan Doherty received her medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean and has a Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Arizona. While in college, Meaghan was an Athletic Training Technician and a certified Personal Trainer and Weight Management consultant for the University. She also was an EMT for the City of Tucson, Az.
Meaghan has chosen to specialize in Family Medicine for many reasons. Some of those reasons include: the diverse patient population, the wide range of medical knowledge, experiences, and procedures, and the flexibility of future practice and sub-specialties. Meaghan will ultimately be doing a Fellowship in Sports Medicine to fulfill her career as a Family Medicine Physician.
Meaghan has many hobbies including; soccer, basketball, volleyball, golf, snowboarding, running, weight training, and hiking.

Wilfred Leung , MD
SABA University School of Medicine, Netherland-Antilles
Dr. Wilfred Leung received his medical degree from SABA University School of Medicine, and has a Bachelor of Science in Physiology from McGill University, Montreal Canada. Prior to medical school Dr. Leung was active in research on the human rotavirus at the University of Guelph. He was a volunteer for the Red Cross Disaster Management & Response team and also has extensive volunteer experience with the National Kidney Foundation. At the National Kidney Foundation, he helped with a pilot program to promote health through public education and prevented chronic disease through authoritative screening tests.
He enjoys the diversity family medicine offers, and has a particular interest in patient education and disease prevention.
His hobbies include snowboarding, wakeboarding and travel. In the future Dr. Leung hopes to volunteer some of his time toward medical missions in developing countries.

Sarjoo is from Hoffman Estates, Illinois. He graduated cum laude from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in Operation Management Information System. He received his Medical degree from St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine and obtained most of his clinical experience from hospitals in Chicago, IL.
His achievements include: President of SGA at St. Mathews University, Golden Key Honor Society member, Recipient of BI TTC scholarship at NIU, President of IPSA at Harper College and Leadership award at Harper College
His medical interests include: critical care, prevention medicine and procedural medicine.
His personal interests: home improvement projects, electronics, cooking and staying active (working out, biking, tennis, football, and golf).

Nasra Warsame , MD
Medical University of the Americas
Dr. Nasra Warsame received her medical degree from The Medical University of the Americas, and has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from The University of Toronto. Her greatest desire is to provide superior, yet compassionate medical care to patients from all walks of life.
She has chosen to specialize in family medicine because she enjoys working with patients of all age groups- infants, adults, pregnant moms and the elderly.
Her hobbies include watching movies, listening to music, being active, reading and traveling. In the future she could envision herself working for the WHO, or embarking on missions with agencies such as Doctors Without Borders.

David Beck , MD
Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science
Dr. David Beck received his medical degree from The Chicago Medical School, and has a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry as well as a Masters in fine arts. While in medical school he taught students in grades K-12 on various subjects, and worked as a licensed Pharmacy Technician and certified EMT. He is the recipient of the following scholarship awards: American Academy of Dermatology, Finch University Research Fellowship, Illinois Academy of Family Physicians, and the National Health Service Corps. Dr. Beck was also the president of the SNMA club and Vice President: for AMSA, EMED,AMA and Family Medicine.
He has chosen to specialize in family medicine for several reasons:
the variety of day-to-day interactions as well as the diverse environments in which to practice, such as rural, urban and suburban, which provide a degree of excitement and satisfaction unmatched by any other specialty. He is particularly interested in sports and emergency medicine.
His hobbies include film, sports, world history, and travel. In the future Dr. Beck hopes to join hands with Doctors without Borders and coordinate medical missions to medically underserved areas of the world.

Ligeia was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She received a B.A. in Biology and Psychology from Alverno College. Soon after she obtained her M.A. in Clinical and Applied Psychology from Teacher's College of Columbia University in New York where she lived for a few years , she graduated from Ross University School of Medicine and completed her clinical requirements in Janesville, Wisconsin.
Ligeia's professional interests are caring for families, procedural medicine and geriatrics.
She is an extremely well-rounded individual who has a great love for knowledge and even greater love for people. Her personal interests include , but are not limited to , playing sports, cooking, wood working, drawing and shopping. However none of these outrank her love for music. |

Kimberley Drayton , MD

Dr. Kimberley Drayton was born in St Croix, the Virgin Islands, but spent a significant amount of her childhood growing up in Trinidad. After years of traveling, at the age of 11, her family finally settled in New Jersey. She attended Rutgers University in New Jersey and received her BA in Biology and went on to receive her MD from Ross University.
Her professional interests include full spectrum family medicine with an emphasis on procedures, obstetrics, gynecology and preventive medicine. Her outside interests include watching and playing sports, especially softball, racquetball, basketball, and billiards, traveling, reading, and listening to music. Her family and friends are her strongest supporters and without them, she believes, she could not have made it this far personally and professionally. Therefore, her family and friends are an integral part of her life.

Rupashi Goswami , MD
Ross University School of Medicine
Rupashi Goswami is from Niagara Falls, Canada. She graduated with an Hons. BSc. in Biology and Physics from McMaster University, Canada. She attended Ross University School of Medicine, where she was involved in local community service and health care for underserved populations. This, alongside her on-going research in preventative health care issues and involvement with primary care interest groups, was the impetus for her decision to pursue Family Medicine and incorporate her interests in rural health care and global health policies and programs. In the midst of courses in public health from Johns Hopkins University, she plans to obtain her MPH and work in the realm of International Health Care Development and Health Administration
After doing medical school rotations in the Midwest for a year, she decided that the opportunities, lifestyle, and warm nature of the people was the perfect milieu to pursue her goals and she is excited to be in Racine!
Rupashi’s other interests include community theatre, traveling off the beaten path, short film making, and tennis.

James is from Glenview, Illinois. He attended Andrews University in Michigan, receiving a Bachelors in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. He completed a Master’s in Health Service Administration from Saint Joseph’s College of Maine and graduated with his MD from St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine.
His professional interests include hospital administration, preventive medicine, urgent care, community outreach, patient education, procedural medicine, and sports medicine.
His personal interests are scuba diving, weight-lifting, kayaking, volleyball, German automobiles, and spending time with his family in Chicago.
His personal goals consists of cage diving with Great White Sharks in Australia’s Great Barrier Reef.

Vincenzo Susini is from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He attended the University of Toronto/Bastyr University for his undergraduate studies in Human Nutrition. He completed his Masters in Human Nutrition at the University of Bridgeport in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He attended the National University of Health Sciences where he graduated with a Doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine. While at the National University, Vincenzo was placed in the prestigious Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. He completed his MD education at Saba University School of Medicine.
His professional interests include procedural medicine, alternative medicine, integrative medicine and sports medicine.
His personal interests include hockey, powerlifting and listening to jazz with a Cuban cigar.

Mamatha Geddam , MD
Ross University School of Medicine
Mamatha was born in Visakhapatnam, India and spent the first few years of her life in Kerala and Bombay. She spent a significant part of her teenage years in Hong Kong, now a special administrative region of China. She considers Milwaukee, Wisconsin, one of her homes away from home where she attended Marquette University majoring in Biology. She attended medical school at Ross University, in the Commonwealth of Dominica, completing her clinical requirements in New York.
She considers herself truly international since she has experienced many different cultures by living and visiting many countries. Her professional interests include procedures and medical information systems. She enjoys pediatrics and acute care.
Her personal interests include playing and watching sports, especially tennis, table-tennis, and swimming. She also likes cooking and blending/experimenting with the different cuisines. She loves to travel and explore other cultures. Loves to shop too. Family and friends play are a significant part in her life.
Things she would still like to do: visit the Taj Mahal, go to the beaches in Goa, Maldives and Hawaii, go back to Israel, go on a safari in South Africa, and visit during the carnival time in Trinidad.

Melissa is originally from Princeton, Illinois. She attended the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, recieving her Bachelors degree in Biology with a minor in Anthropology. She received her MD from the University of Illinois in Rockford. Her professional interests include the full spectrum of family medicine with interests in women's health and geriatrics. On the outside, she enjoys reading, cooking, and working with her hands on projects such as stained glass and quilting.

Veronica Lupu, MD

Veronica Lupu was born in Romania from where she immigrated to Canada at the age of 14. There she obtained her undergraduate Honours B. Sc. degree in Biology and Psychology from the University of Windsor. She continued her medical pursuit at the American University of the Caribbean, in St Maarten, where she received her MD degree. Her clinical training took place at Wyckoff Heights, NYC, Aultman Hosp in Canton, OH and Mt Sinai Hosp, Chicago. She enjoys the great medical variety provided by Family Medicine, as well as the opportunity to see different age groups and to be able to integrate OB in her practice. She spends her free time singing at church or home, playing the piano, painting in oil or acrylic, teaching, reading fiction books, shopping and spending time with family and friends.

Amy Swift-Johnson, MD

Amy was born and raised in Evanston, IL. She attended Southern Illinois University and received her B.S. in Biology with a minor in chemistry and then received a B.S. in Physiology. Amy attended Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, the Chicago Medical School where she received her M.D. She is also currently working on her Masters of Healthcare Management. During medical school she was involved in various charity events and organizations: SNMA, AAFP, AMSA and others. During her 4 th year of medical school she was also an Albert Schweitzer Fellow.
Amy is also happily married to Maurice Johnson and a mother of 2 children, Andrew and Marisa, who are all the center of her life. She believes that her children are her greatest accomplishments. Her goals include being a great mother and spending as much time loving and learning about her children.
Amy is very interested in international medicine, pediatrics, women’s health, and preventive medicine. Her future career goals include becoming a better physician and learning something new daily. Her hobbies are painting, home improvements, crafts, scrap booking, cooking and anything involving her kids. |
