The Professional Development Division is nationally recognized for advancing the careers of family medicine teachers, researchers, clinicians and leaders through:

PDD Projects

Center for Ambulatory Teaching Excellence (CATE) In partnership with MCW's Office of Educational Services, CATE disseminates scholarly projects and products that advance clinical teaching. Annual Winter Refresher Course CME Conference DFCM Faculty and other regional experts present clinical updates and recognize volunteer community preceptors. Contact Steve Lawrence, MD at slawrenc@mcw.edu for more information.

DFCM Annual Research Forum (RF) is a peer reviewed forum with podium and poster presentations of clinical, education, research, and other scholarship. The late spring event includes departmental award presentations such as clinical teacher of the year and published paper of the year.
