Accreditation
The Medical College of Wisconsin is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The Medical College of Wisconsin designates this educational activity for a maximum of 16.00 category 1 credits toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those credits that he/she actually spent in the activity. This activity has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 27.25 credit(s) by the American Academy of Family Physicians. 13.00 of these credits conform to the AAFP criteria for evidence-based EB CME clinical content. The amount of EB CME has been doubled to reflect 2 for 1 credit for only the EB CME portion. When reporting CME credit, AAFP members should report total Prescribed and Elective credit earned for this activity. It is not necessary for members to label credit as evidence-based CME for reporting purposes. The Medical College of Wisconsin designates this activity for up to 16.00 contact hours of continuing education for allied health professionals.

Objectives
Participants will receive new knowledge and perspectives on:

  • The issue of Pay for Performance.
  • A broad range of timely Pediatric and general medicine clinical topics.
  • New skills in orthopedic casting for primary caregivers.
  • A major update in dyslipidemias.

Participants will have opportunities to network and receive information regarding the local and national status of family medicine.

A syllabus for the program is prepared with outlines of the presentations.  The breakout seminars encourage interactive formats between the audience and the presenters.  Questions and audience participation are encouraged rather than a straight lecture format.
